Cohiba Talismán: Sublimes No. 1 Specs, Price and Launch
The Cohiba Talismán is the Sublimes No. 1, a 54 ring gauge by 154 mm pigtail parejo that Habanos, S.A. has added as a regular, ongoing Línea Clásica vitola. The only published price is £600 for a three-cigar gift pack sold in the United Kingdom (UK), which Cigar Aficionado converts to about $791. It is a Cuban cigar, so residents of the United States (US) cannot legally import it.
What the Cohiba Talismán Is and What It Costs
The Cohiba Talismán is the ninth vitola in Cohiba's Línea Clásica, sold under the factory name Sublimes No. 1. Habanos announced the global launch in a press release datelined Havana, October 8, 2026. The launch event took place the day before in London, with about 400 guests. Hunters & Frankau, the UK distributor of Cuban cigars, took part.

Habanos says the leaves come from the "selection of the selection" grown in San Juan y Martínez and San Luis. The tobacco also goes through an additional fermentation process. Habanos has not said which leaves form the wrapper and binder.
Habanos describes the smoke as having a good draw and dense grey smoke. In that description, woody notes grow more pronounced, the ash stays compact, and roasted coffee notes appear in the final third. At Humidorist, we have not smoked the Talismán yet, so treat these notes as the maker's description and not our tasting.
History: 2017 Limited Edition to Regular Línea Clásica
The Talismán first appeared in 2017 as an Edición Limitada, launched in London. It returned two years later as another limited edition. The 2026 version drops the limited-edition bands, and Habanos makes it on an ongoing basis.
The blend has changed since 2017. Cigar Aficionado reports that the earlier Edición Limitada used darker wrappers taken from the upper part of the plant. The new Talismán's wrappers will match the rest of the Línea Clásica.
The release also marks a brand anniversary. Cohiba was introduced in 1966, so 2026 is its 60th year, and Habanos calls it the "Año Cohiba," or Year of Cohiba. The Talismán is the first milestone of that year. Habanos says more releases are coming but has not named them. José María López Inchaurbe, Habanos' vice president of development, told Cigar Aficionado: "Talismán is just the beginning of what is yet to come."
Packaging and Pricing for the Cohiba Talismán
The Talismán comes in two formats, and only one of them has a published price.
- Box of 10. The cigars ship in a "Boîte Nature" box. Habanos says worldwide availability will expand gradually through the year. No price and no worldwide release date are published.
- Gift pack of 3. This pack is exclusive to the UK, with a recommended retail price of £600. Cigar Aficionado converts that to $791, or about $263 per cigar.
The packaging also helps with authenticity. The label carries near-field communication (NFC) technology for authenticity checks and a digital experience. A foot band shows the vitola name. Habanos plans to roll the refreshed packaging out across the rest of the Línea Clásica.
Counterfeit Cuban Cohibas are widespread. Before you buy any Cohiba box, read our guide on how to spot fake cigars.
Cohiba Talismán vs Behike
The Talismán and the Behike are separate Cohiba lines. No source describes the Talismán as a Behike, and no source says it uses the medio tiempo leaf the Behike is built on. The table sticks to what each line has published.
| Criterion | Cohiba Talismán | Cohiba Behike |
|---|---|---|
| Line | Línea Clásica, regular production | Ultra-premium line |
| Sizes | One vitola: 54 x 154 mm pigtail parejo | Three vitolas: BHK 52, BHK 54, BHK 56 |
| Leaf claim | Vuelta Abajo "selection of the selection," extra fermentation | Rare medio tiempo leaf |
| Strength | Medium to full | Full-bodied, with earth, spice and cream notes |
| Price information | £600 for a UK 3-pack (about $263 per cigar, retail pack) | BHK 56 trades roughly $450 to $800 per cigar on secondary markets (a different basis from retail) |
| US legality | Cannot be legally imported | Cannot be legally imported; secondary-market sales are illegal in the US |
We are not naming a winner. We found no published tasting score for the Talismán yet, so a head-to-head verdict has nothing to stand on. For the full Behike lineup, see our Cohiba Behike guide.
US Availability and the Import Ban
US residents cannot legally import the Talismán, because Cuban cigars, including Cuban Cohiba, cannot be brought into the US. The Cohiba sold in US shops is a separate, non-Cuban brand made by General Cigar. Our guide on why Cuban cigars are illegal explains the rules.
If you travel outside the US, see our guide to where to buy Cuban cigars abroad. Those cigars still cannot be legally brought into the US. If you want to stay at home, see our Cohiba cigar alternatives and our Montecristo vs Cohiba comparison.
Who the Talismán Suits and What Would Change Our Answer
The Talismán fits a smoker outside the US who wants a regular-production Cuban Cohiba in the medium-to-full range. It also fits someone with 60 to 90 minutes for one cigar. UK buyers who want a gift have the only format with a published price: the £600 three-pack.
It does not suit US residents, who cannot legally import it. It also costs about $263 a cigar in the UK pack. Read our guide on whether Cohiba cigars are worth it before you spend that much. Our Cohiba brand guide and Cohiba Siglo guide cover other places to start within the brand.
Several things would change this page's answer:
- A published tasting review or score would let us say how the Talismán smokes beyond Habanos' description.
- A published box-of-10 price would show whether the 10-count costs less per cigar than the UK gift pack.
- A worldwide release date would tell non-UK buyers when to start looking.
- Habanos naming the wrapper and binder would make the blend easier to compare with the Behike.
