Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro Guide
The Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro is a darker version of the 2026 Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary. It has an Ecuadorian Habano maduro wrapper and comes in four sizes priced from $12 to $13.50 a cigar, sold only in brick-and-mortar shops. At Humidorist, we have not smoked it, so the specs, prices and release details here come from halfwheel and Cigar Journal, and we give no taste verdict.
What the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro Is
The Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro is a regular-production cigar from Altadis U.S.A. and Christian Eiroa of CLE Cigar Co. Altadis U.S.A. showed it at the 2026 meeting of the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA). The main difference from the original 30th Anniversary is the wrapper: the maduro uses Ecuadorian Habano maduro leaf, while halfwheel reported the original would use a Colombian Pinareño wrapper.
These specifications come from halfwheel's October 28, 2026 report and Cigar Journal's November 2, 2026 announcement. MSRP is the manufacturer's suggested retail price.

The Blend and What Changed From the Original
The maduro keeps the original's binder, sizes and prices and swaps the wrapper. halfwheel's April 7, 2026 report on the original supplies the second column. That report came before the maker's press release, so treat the original's wrapper as reported.

The original was built around recreating the Saint Luis Rey blend that Eiroa developed in 1996.
Altadis U.S.A. describes the maduro this way, as quoted by halfwheel: the result "is a deep, complex and flavorful smoking experience with tasting notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted coffee." Those are the maker's notes. We have not smoked the cigar and cannot confirm them.
Christian Eiroa explained the goal in the press release:
"With the maduro, we wanted to preserve the distinctive foundation of the original blend while delivering a richer, more intense expression that remains true to the character of Saint Luis Rey."
He also called the maduro "the continuation of a chapter we began in 1996 but never had the opportunity to bring to market." Marina Tuntes, brand manager at Altadis U.S.A., said a maduro was "a natural next step" that continues the brand's support of brick-and-mortar retail partners.
The history is short. Christian Eiroa created the original Honduran puro blend while working with his father, Julio. The pair produced the cigar for Max Rohr Imports Inc., which owned the mark at the time, and the cigars debuted in May 1996. After mergers, the brand ended up with Altadis S.A. in 1999.

Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro Sizes and Price Per Box
All four sizes come in boxes of 25, and the box price is exactly 25 times the single price. These are halfwheel's MSRP figures.
| Size name | Dimensions | Per cigar | Per box of 25 | Math |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rothchilde | 5 x 50 | $12 | $300 | 25 x $12 |
| Torpedo | 6 x 52 | $12.50 | $312.50 | 25 x $12.50 |
| Toro | 6 x 54 | $13 | $325 | 25 x $13 |
| Titan | 6 x 60 | $13.50 | $337.50 | 25 x $13.50 |
The cheapest full box costs $300, and the dearest costs $337.50. That is a $37.50 spread across the line. Each step up in size adds 50 cents per cigar, or $12.50 per box.
The Rothchilde is the shortest and narrowest of the four at 5 inches long with a 50 ring gauge. Pick it for the smallest cigar at the lowest price. The Titan is the widest at a 60 ring gauge, an inch longer than the Rothchilde. Pick it if you prefer a thick cigar and do not mind paying $1.50 more per stick.
The Torpedo and Toro both measure 6 inches and differ by two ring gauges. Our cigar sizes guide shows where each of these dimensions sits among common shapes.
Who the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro Fits
Pick the maduro if you already like Saint Luis Rey, or want a $12 to $13.50 maduro, and can walk into a brick-and-mortar shop. Skip it if you need to order online or prefer the original's reported Colombian Pinareño wrapper.
Pick it if:
- You smoked the original 30th Anniversary and want the same binder and sizes under a darker Ecuadorian wrapper.
- You want a maduro at $12 to $13.50 per cigar from a regular-production line you can rebuy.
- A local tobacconist stocks Altadis U.S.A. cigars, especially a TAA member shop that gets them in November 2026.
Skip it if:
- You buy cigars online. Altadis U.S.A. sells this line only through brick-and-mortar retailers.
- You want a reviewer's tasting notes before buying. The only flavor description published comes from Altadis U.S.A.
- You want the original blend. Buy the original 30th Anniversary instead, at the same prices.
Two things would change our answer. Shops listing it well above the $12 to $13.50 MSRP would weaken the case for buying a box. First reviews that contradict the maker's notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted coffee would be a reason to try a single first.

How to Get One From a Brick-and-Mortar Shop
TAA retailers receive the maduro in November 2026, and other shops get it around the 2027 PCA Convention & Trade Show. That show runs March 6 to 8, 2027, in Las Vegas. halfwheel first reported a mid-November date for TAA shops, then updated its story on November 2, 2026: an Altadis U.S.A. representative clarified that TAA retailers receive the cigars this month and do not have to wait until March.
Cigar Journal's earlier wording said shipments were scheduled by PCA 2027. For TAA shops, halfwheel's November 2 update replaces that date. Non-TAA shops remain on the March timeline, per halfwheel.
We do not keep a list of stores carrying this cigar, and none has been published. To find one:
- Phone a local tobacconist and ask whether it is a TAA member.
- Ask whether it ordered the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro and which of the four sizes.
- Ask the shop's price per single and per box, and compare it with the MSRP table above.
