The Tatuaje Skinny Krueger and Skinny Michael are two new Skinny Monster cigars. Each takes a Monster Series blend, The Krueger or The Michael, and rolls it as a 6 x 38 petite lancero. Both come in 25-count boxes at $9.50 a cigar. According to halfwheel's October 19, 2026 report, Tatuaje is shipping boxes of both this week.

At Humidorist, we have not smoked either cigar. halfwheel's report gives no tasting notes or strength for either one.

The Skinny Monsters Concept

A Skinny Monster takes the blend of a Monster Series cigar and rolls it as a 6 x 38 petite lancero. Tatuaje started the idea in April 2016 with the Skinny Monsters, a sampler of 10 different 6 x 38 cigars. Each one was a skinny version of a Monster Series cigar released up to that point.

The Krueger came later in 2016 as the ninth Monster Series cigar. The Michael followed a year later as the 10th. Since the sampler, Tatuaje has released various Skinny Monsters in their own 25-count boxes. Until this release, The Krueger and The Michael had never gotten one.

Like other Skinny Monsters, these two are 6 x 38 parejos, even when the original Monster Series cigar had distinctive features. The original Krueger was a box-pressed belicoso. If that pressed, pointed shape is what you liked about The Krueger, the Skinny Krueger does not have it. The blend carries over, and the shape becomes a straight 6 x 38. For a refresher on parejos, lanceros, and ring gauge, see our cigar sizes guide.

Where the Tatuaje Skinny Krueger Sits in the Monster Series

With these two releases, The Bride is the only one of the original 13 Monster Series cigars without a skinny version.

Tatuaje has also used other sizes for the format. In 2017 it introduced two more takes on the same 10 blends from the 2016 sampler:

  • Skinny Monsters Cazadores: the 10 blends in a 6 3/8 x 43 vitola.
  • Skinny Monsters Lancero: the 10 blends in a 7 1/2 x 38 lancero.

Our Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6 review covers a different Monster Series release, not either of these skinnies.

Price and Who These Skinnies Suit

Both cigars carry an MSRP of $9.50 a cigar. A 25-count box works out to $237.50 ($9.50 x 25). One box of each comes to $475 ($237.50 x 2) at MSRP. Store prices are not published, so check a retailer.

Since we have no tasting data, choose by the one spec that differs:

  • Pick the Skinny Krueger if you want a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.
  • Pick the Skinny Michael if you want an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.

These cigars are a poor fit for three kinds of buyer:

  • If you want The Krueger's original box-pressed belicoso shape, buy the original Monster Series cigar if you can find it.
  • If you are waiting on a skinny version of The Bride, halfwheel reports none yet.
  • If you choose cigars by strength, halfwheel's report lists no strength for either skinny. Our cigar strength guide explains the general scale, and you can hold off until reviews appear.

Our view would change once we smoke both cigars ourselves or tasting and strength details appear. The release type is also undisclosed, so halfwheel's report does not say whether these are limited or regular production.

If you are newer to cigars and want a first purchase that costs less than a full box, our starter cigars guide is a better first stop.

Buying the Skinny Monsters and the Coffin Ashtray

Our explainer on whether it is legal to buy cigars online covers how mail-order tobacco works.

Tatuaje is also shipping the Tatuaje Coffin Ashtray, which it showed in April at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show. The ashtray is shaped like a coffin, matching the original Monster Series dress boxes. It measures 10 inches x 8 inches, has four cigar holders, and is made of heavy-duty black silicone. Its MSRP is $70, and production is limited to 1,300.
