Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes Price and Blend Details

Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes is a 6 x 52 limited edition with an African Cameroon wrapper. It sells for $21 a cigar in 21-count boxes, and 2,000 boxes are headed to select shops before Veterans Day on November 11, 2026. At Humidorist, we have not smoked it, so we report the specs from Cigar Journal and Cigar Aficionado and give no taste verdict.

What Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes Is

Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes is the 2026 edition of the Battleborn tribute cigar from Casa Carrillo. It comes in one size and is rolled at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic. Cigar Journal reports that the 2026 edition "introduces a new blend while maintaining the spirit and purpose behind the original release."

These are the published specifications from Cigar Journal and Cigar Aficionado:

Detail Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes
Size 6 x 52
Wrapper African Cameroon
Binders Dual binders, one from the Dominican Republic and one from Nicaragua
Filler Aged Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos
Factory Casa Carrillo, Dominican Republic
Box count 21 cigars
Suggested retail price $21 per cigar, $441 per box
Production run 2,000 boxes, or 42,000 cigars
Numbering and extras Each cigar individually numbered, each with a Battleborn dog tag

Cigar Aficionado reports that the 21-count box is an homage to the 21-gun salute. The same article says each cigar is individually numbered and comes with a Battleborn dog tag. 2,000 boxes times 21 cigars equals 42,000 cigars.

We have no strength or flavor description to report. If you want to see how a 6 x 52 compares with other common formats, our cigar sizes guide lays out the standard shapes. Our cigar wrappers guide covers wrapper types.

What Changed From the 2025 Battleborn Warriors

Battleborn Heroes uses a different blend from the 2025 Battleborn Warriors, and the size, price and production run also differ. Casa Carrillo released the first Battleborn, called Battleborn Warriors, in 2025. Cigar Aficionado's 2025 report describes that cigar as a 6 x 56 toro intended to be full-bodied.

Detail Battleborn Heroes (2026) Battleborn Warriors (2025)
Size 6 x 52 6 x 56
Wrapper African Cameroon Connecticut broadleaf
Binders Dominican and Nicaraguan Mexican and Nicaraguan
Filler Dominican and Nicaraguan Nicaraguan
Price per cigar $21 $22
Box count 21 20
Price per box $441 $440
Boxes made 2,000 2,500
Total cigars 42,000 50,000
Dog tag Yes, with each cigar Yes, one per set

The price math is close between the two years. Heroes costs $1 less per cigar, yet the box holds one more cigar, so a box of Heroes costs $441 against $440 for a box of Warriors. The 2026 run is smaller at 42,000 cigars against 50,000.

The 2025 Warriors came in dark-green boxes with a camouflage lid. Cigar Aficionado reports that Warriors was inspired by Lionel H. McKoy, a two-decade Navy veteran who has been Casa Carrillo's shipping manager since 2017. The 2025 article does not mention individual numbering for Warriors, while Cigar Aficionado's 2026 report says each Heroes cigar is individually numbered.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo III addressed the blend change in the Cigar Journal release: "With Battleborn, the blend may change, but the message stays the same. It's about service, sacrifice, and respect." If you liked the broadleaf wrapper and 56 ring gauge of Warriors, Heroes is a different cigar on both counts.

Who Battleborn Heroes Honors

Battleborn Heroes honors U.S. Armed Forces veterans, active military personnel, police officers, firefighters and first responders, according to Cigar Journal. Cigar Journal describes 2026 as the second year of Battleborn. The release also notes that Casa Carrillo has more than 55 years of cigar-making experience.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo III said in the release: "Battleborn is about honoring the people who show up when others need them most." Lissette Perez-Carrillo said that Casa Carrillo has worked through its Carrillo Cares program to support causes that make a meaningful difference. She added that Battleborn continues that commitment by recognizing people who serve while helping support the organizations that stand behind them and their families.

Neither Cigar Journal nor Cigar Aficionado publishes a donation amount or percentage for Battleborn Heroes. If the charitable side matters to your purchase, ask the shop selling the cigar what it knows, because the published reports do not answer that question. For comparison, Cigar Aficionado reported that the 2025 Warriors pre-release events, starting September 20, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas, sent proceeds to veteran and first responder organizations.

The first retail appearance of Battleborn Heroes was at two launch events hosted by Old Virginia Tobacco. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo attended both events:

  • Kingstowne, Virginia, on October 22, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Woodbridge, Virginia, on October 23, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m.

After those events, Cigar Journal reports that the cigar is "expected to arrive at select retail locations nationwide before Veterans Day, November 11, 2026." Our roundup of fall and holiday 2026 limited cigar releases covers other cigars arriving in shops over the same weeks.

Whether Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes Is Worth Buying

Casa Carrillo Battleborn Heroes fits a smoker who wants the veteran and first responder tribute, a numbered cigar and a Cameroon wrapper at $21 a stick. We base that on the reported specs and price only, since we have not smoked it. The theme, the numbering and the dog tag are the parts you can confirm before buying.

At $21 per cigar and 21 cigars per box, a full box costs $441, which is the same $21 per cigar as buying singles. Buying the box gets you no discount at suggested retail, so a single or a few sticks let you try the cigar for $21 each before committing.

Skip Battleborn Heroes if you want a value cigar for everyday smoking. Skip it too if you were hoping for a repeat of the 2025 Warriors, since the wrapper, binders, filler and ring gauge all changed.

For other cigars to give as gifts, see our cigar gift guide. If you want other Casa Carrillo lines to compare, see our Casa Carrillo Pledge of Allegiance review, our Casa Carrillo Ascend review and our page on the Casa Carrillo 2026 TAA exclusive.

Two things would change this answer. If shops price Battleborn Heroes well over the $21 suggested retail, the case for a box weakens, and singles become the better way to try it. If the tribute theme does not matter to you, you would be paying a limited-edition price for a cigar we cannot vouch for on taste.

Finding a Box of Battleborn Heroes

Battleborn Heroes is sold through select retailers, and the published reports include no store list. Humidorist does not track street prices or shop allocations. Call a local cigar shop and ask whether it ordered Battleborn Heroes, using our guide on where to buy cigars in stores to find a specialty tobacconist near you.

When you call, ask three questions:

  • Did the shop order Battleborn Heroes, and when does it expect the boxes?
  • What price will the shop charge per cigar and per box of 21?
  • Does the shop know anything about where Battleborn proceeds go?

Cigars are for adults. A 21-count box takes up humidor space, so plan room before it arrives. Our guide on how to store cigars explains humidity and storage basics. If you plan to keep the numbered cigars and dog tags together as a set, store them in the original box inside your humidor.
